As we continue our sermon series on “CONNECT, GROW, SERVE” our own Ashley Dobberke, who is the incoming SERVE committee chair, will be preaching this week on SERVE, so we thought we’d share a little bit about her. She has been a member of IPUMC since 2016.
She was raised in Aiken, SC and graduated from the University of South Carolina in 2014 with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education. She recently graduated from Georgia State University with a Master of Social Work and Nonprofit Profit Management Certificate.
She currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer at the Andrew P. Stewart Center, a community development nonprofit in the Pittsburgh community of southwest Atlanta. She oversees program design, implementation, and evaluation. She also manages administrative and operational functions of the organization.
You’ll most likely find Ashley doing a puzzle, enjoying a glass of red wine, or walking around Virginia Highland with her husband, Tom and her puppy, Stella.
